About the Event

Pacifying your Kapha in Spring Workshop

Ayurveda teaches us the importance of living seasonally and using knowledge of the qualities found in nature to bring balance to body, mind, and spirit. Spring is considered the Kapha season. This is a time when Kapha qualities can increase in us causing Kapha imbalances. These could present as symptoms such as digestive issues (sluggish digestion, heaviness after eating, nausea), excess moisture in the body (excess mucous production, congestion and cough, heavy sweating, swelling), restricted blood flow (paleness of skin), Lethargy (lack of motivation, depression, feeling stuck).

This Kapha pacifying workshop will give you a brief introduction of Ayurveda philosophy, Kapha characteristics/qualities, and imbalances/symptoms. A discussion of daily routines/practices to help pacify Kapha will be presented.

The workshop will also include a meditation, pranayama, aromatherapy, and some uplifting movement, and a lung supporting Savasana.

Students will receive a small take-a-way to start them on a Kapha pacifying daily practice.

We will also enjoy some Kapha balancing snacks.

This 2.5 hour workshop is limited to 9 students. Students are asked to wear comfy clothes and to bring with them a yoga mat and a bottled water.

Self-investment - $30.00
